3.EHEFRAU-JANE SEYMOUR
(c. 1509 - † October 24, 1537)
daughter of Sir John Seymour of Wiltshire and Margaret Wentworth
She was already lady in waiting to Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn. During his marriage to Anne Boleyn, the king fell in love with her. She was passive, submissive and friendly, it still managed to impose their will, to become queen. After Anne Boleyn was executed on a pretext, it was 16 days later Queen of England. As queen, she is as strict, formally and conservatively described. Her motto was: determined to obey and serve. Had never interfered in affairs of state of her husband, but she managed to reconciliation between Henry and his daughter Mary (first marriage). So both daughters Mary and Elizabeth were introduced at court.
1537 Jane gave birth to the only heir of Henry (Edward VI of England)
A few days after birth Jane died in childbirth.
The king mourned much for Jane and said in his lifetime, he would have loved them most (probably because of the Thronerbens).
